Kvass is traditionally an Eastern European beverage where brewers get fermentable sugars from unused bread. Luckily we are just up the street from the black-belt sandwich slingers at Farrow, who kindly hooked us up with their scraps and unused bread rolls to add to this beer! Aside from bread, we also added a good helping of rye malt to enhance the nice doughy/toasty character, which is complimented by yeast derived spice notes. Farrow is an Edmonton staple and if you haven't tried one of their sandwiches before, go grab one and bring it to the taproom! Surely we can help you arrive at a beer and sammich combo with flavours that roll perfectly together.
