Wake up and smell the Coffee California Common. Spring’s not the time for a moody coffee brew, it’s the time for a light pick me up, and this beer is just that. We made this bright cuppa with @rossocoffeeroasters own Day Tripper coffee beans. But don’t let the name fool you, these direct trade beans came all the way from Burundi and Columbia, and took way more than a day trip to get to us!
Our vision for this collaboration was as sharp as a blade. We chose this coffee blend for its brightness and opted to steep the beans whole so the colour of the brew reflects the levity of the taste. Day Tripper isn’t your regular coffee, it’s a cool-for-the-summer-road-trip kinda coffee. Its notes of honey-sweet coffee-fruit that pair perfectly with the toasty caramel and pome fruit ester features of the beer’s California Common base.
Great on their own, Rosso’s beans are sorted by an incredibly advanced machine to ensure that only the most magic beans make it into their bags, your cups, and this particular uncommon California Common. Wide Awake is guaranteed to have you movin’ and groovin’, ideally down to the taproom to try it for yourself.
