First off, "Uff-Da" is a versatile and sort of a low-key curse word in Norwegian. Whether you just stubbed your toe, are pleasantly surprised by something, or are struggling through a 55 km cross-country ski event with 5.5 kg on your back commemorating the rescue of a Norwegian prince, it's a great word to expressively moan or holler as needed. Inspired by farmhouse ales brewed near Voss, Norway and using the tradition yeast strain from the area, Uff-Da has complex notes of ripe red fruit, pear, hints of orange, and a rustic earthy finish. We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to be a part of the 40th anniversary of the Canadian Birkebeiner and to share in the fun and tradition fostered by this community.
