Natural Pet Nat Orange Wine
Made with Delaware grapes from Yamagata Prefecture and a small amount of Steuben grapes. The Delaware grapes are pressed after 12-24 hours of skin contact and then blended. Direct-pressed Steuben grapes are also blended just before bottling. The Steuben grapes are blended while they still retain some sugar content, and fermentation continues in the bottle. No antioxidants added.
Tasting Notes: From the aroma, you can feel the freshness as the name suggests and the candy-like aroma derived from the grape variety. The taste is sweet and sour, just like freshly harvested Delaware grapes, and has a crisp finish. In the finish, the umami from the lees spreads softly along with the acidity of the wine. You can feel the creamy texture and effervescence, so it can be enjoyed in more relaxed settings than usual.
