It's "Edmonton Wyrd Bier Adventure" season and we decided to try brewing a beer with carrot puree! 24 Carrotene was fermented with a Belgian style yeast to add some fun spice notes. Carotene is the pigment that gives turmeric and carrots their fun colour, so whether or not this was a golden idea, the liquid itself should be fairly orange. The aim here is a beer that is reminicent of a comforting can of carrot soup, and with the veggies and spices on the ingredient list it might even almost be healthy beverage! But probably not. Enjoy this year's Wyrd Bier Adventure and try out the wacky creations from all the participating breweries to win yourself some free stuff.
