A great beer theory made even better in reality the second time around. After all, we said “rare”, not “only”. And there was always an ‘s’ on the end of the <3. Picture, in your mouth’s eye, lemon zested stawberry jam on a bed of fresh cut greens and you have a whimsical (and accurate!) imagining of this year’s Rare Hearts. It comes out the garden gates sweet, but chases swiftly with a firm acidity and a lemony finish that lingers.
The best strawberries make the best strawberry beer, and we used the BEST strawberries available. To amplify the berrie’s best attributes, as with the first elusive ticker, we selected three base beers that packed the right amount of citrus and herbal notes to keep things balanced enough to be enjoyed(responsibly and) in quantity.
