A quintessential and beautifully crafted Chianti located in the newly minted Valdarno di Sopra DOC, Italy's first entirely organic appellation. An intense ruby red appearance with a bouquet of sour cherries, wild berries, pencil shavings, and a distinctly violent like aroma. On the palate the wine is full, round, and soft, embracing the mid-palate like a hug from an old friend. A persistent floral fruitiness characterizes the charming taste with long silky tannins devoid of any astringency.
