The name Cannubi refers to the quality of the grapes and wines produced on the eponymous hill, which is included among the Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive (MGAs) of the Municipality of Barolo.

The vineyards owned by L'Astemia are located in the lower part, nestled between the two roads leading to the town.

This is the lowest-altitude part of Cannubi, but the nature of the soils in this area and the south-southeast exposure produce wines with good body, elegance, and a pleasantly tight tannin structure.
