Natural Red Wine
The Hochäcker vineyard is one of the oldest in Horitschon. Its stone-free, hard, loamy subsoil is rich in iron, making it a traditional soil for Blaufränkisch. Our 40-year-old vines produce grapes of the highest quality here every harvest.
Franz Weninger states that this has notes of "Red berry fruit, fine forest berries, delicate hints of cherries, spices and tobacco. Freshly structured on the palate. A complex wine, but not opulent. Dense and extremely close-meshed, therefore easy to store."
